Save and Support: Energizing Indiana and Supporting Arts for Learning
Dec 03, 2012 03:40PM
Energizing Indiana, a collaboration of most of Indiana’s energy providers, is providing a way for consumers to both save on energy costs and support the Young Audiences of Indiana’s Arts for Learning program at the same time via free home energy assessments. Every time someone signs up for the assessment at EnergizingIndiana.com/YAIndy, the organization will receive a $25 donation–$50 in cases that a consumer has assessment done prior to the end of the year.
After enrolling on the website, an Energizing Indiana representative will contact you to schedule your in-home assessment within a few business days. The assessment only takes an hour or so and consumers will receive a free Energy Saving Kit which includes light bulbs, sink aerators and more materials plus advice on how to reduce energy consumption.
In central Indiana, Energizing Indiana is represented by IPL, Vectren and Duke. As long as you receive energy from one of these providers you can participate. Your residence must be at least 10 years old to qualify. If you do not own your home or apartment, you may still be able to participate if the utility is in your name and you receive permission from the property owner.
If you are an IPL customer, you can also enroll in Cool Cents and Arts for Learning will receive an additional $25 donation.
