Raw Food Demo and Yoga Class: Demonstrations on March 10th
The interest in raw and living foods is rapidly growing and there are local resources offering demonstrations, classes and meetup groups. Join the next demonstration on March 10th as Jocelin Romero and Bobbi Main-Jackson of Raw Gourmet Delights present a raw food discussion, tasting and an in depth look at how to incorporate a yoga practice with nutritional needs. This workshop will awaken the senses to the wonderful world of raw whole foods, while bringing a sense of mindfulness.
Raw Gourmet Delights is a family operated business, created by Bobbi Main-Jackson, her husband Tom Jackson, and her daughter Jocelin Romero. Bobbi’s daughter Courtney introduced her to the raw food movement in 2008 which led to the inspiration & creation of Raw Gourmet Delights. The family has a passion for creating whole, healthy, nutritious, foods.
Raw food can be described as food in its purest form; raw, fresh, grown without chemicals, unprocessed, unrefined, and never heated above 118 degrees. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouted grains are typically the foods used to create raw food cuisine and offer an abundance of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other living substances to nourish cells.
The health benefits of raw and living foods include maintaining a healthy weight, getting more restful sleep, having abundant energy, and glowing skin as well as boosting ones’ immune system. The benefits to our environment include reducing waste, making the most of sustainable agricultural practices, and reducing our carbon footprint on the earth.
