Living Without Acquires Gluten Free Expo
Fresh from its highly successful third edition in our area, the Carmel-based Gluten Free Living Now Expo was recently acquired by Living Without magazine. In the agreement, the expo’s co-founder Shelia Cafferty will join the magazine and also be event show planner to supervise an expansion of the expo program that serves the needs of the celiac community.
The next event series, to encompass two days instead of one with each of three editions, will kickoff May 3 and 4 in San Diego, California, return to Indianapolis, August 23 and 24, and conclude in Portland, Oregon, September 6 and 7. It plans to expand to seven cities in 2015.
“Working with Living Without will allow us to support gluten-free communities across the country on a larger scale,” says Cafferty. “Bettering the lives of those with gluten intolerances has always been at the core of our mission, making this merge a natural fit.”
Nearly 4,000 attendees sampled gluten-free foods, learned innovative cooking and preparation tips and met experts at the expo at the Fountains in Carmel on October 5. Living Without magazine, published by the Belvoir Media Group, provides a wide variety of gluten-free and allergy-friendly breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert recipes and tips plus other helpful information.
