INgredients Field to Fork Market Opens

Hippocrates oath, “Let food be thy medicine and let medicine be thy food” has taken on new meaning and application in our area. Offering a one-stop location to buy everything necessary to prepare healthy, locally grown and produced meals, INgredients Field to Fork Market opened last month at 5628 East 71st Street, near the intersection with Binford Avenue, in Indianapolis.
The venture is the brainchild of owner and manager Tom Wiles and Dr. Kevin Logan, who operates a natural health practice in Fishers, and his family. Wiles and Logan acquired a seven-acre farm in McCordsville in April 2011, which became the INgredients Farm. The new market offers produce grown there plus from other area farmers.
In addition to offering fresh, local, nutritious food to a broader market, the location includes a commercial kitchen for cooking classes and to inform about healthy food choices and the impact of food on health plus takeout and catering services.
