Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest
The Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 24 and 25 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ Exhibition Hall with a weekend full of food, presenters and live cooking demos.
Last year’s edition in Indianapolis drew close to 4,000 attendees. This year will include food tasting and education from a wide range of exhibitors, many of them local businesses. Presenters will focus on gluten-free cooking and education, including information on delicious desserts, and how to go gluten free without breaking the bank or giving up flavor.
“The Gluten Free Food Allergy Fest is a celebration for our gluten-free community,” notes Shelia Cafferty, co-founder of Gluten Free Living Now and event organizer. “It’s a show that provides education and information about celiac disease, gluten sensitivity and information about the gluten-free diet, and is really for everyone as most of us know someone that struggles with a gluten intolerance or other food allergies and sensitivities. Even those with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and those with autoimmune diseases can greatly benefit on the gluten-free diet.”
This event is part of a nationwide series that has expanded to seven cities throughout the U.S. Natural Awakenings Indy will have a booth at the event— stop by and visit us!
