Enzyme Nutrition and Digestive Health Class
Morter HealthCenter is offering a class on Enzyme Nutrition and Digestive Health led by Dr. Vicki Knapke from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on July 27 at the Morter HealthCenter, in Carmel.
“We have altered our food supply, so enzymes are missing in many of the foods we consume,” says Knapke.
Enzymes are needed for digestion and there are specific types that break down the different major food categories of carbohydrates, protein, fats and milk protein.
Digestive health is more important than ever before as people are experiencing digestive challenges. The class will provide information about the different enzymes, their specific roles in digestion and absorption, and where to get them in food choices. It will share tips and tools on how to help the body manage and make optimal use of the foods it is consuming.
Admission: Free, registration required. Location: Morter HealthCenter, 10439 Commerce Dr., Ste. 140. For more information and to register, call 317-872-9300 or visit MorterHealthCenter.com.
