September is National Yoga Month designated by the Department of Human Health and Services and Peace Through Yoga is celebrating with Peace Through Pets. All students are welcome to submit photos of their pets doing yoga poses from September 1 through the 30 to receive one free yoga class. One winner will be chosen to win a package of 10 classes. Photos will be shared on social media.
The practice of yoga and expansion of yoga studios in our area continues to grow at a healthy pace. Peace Through Yoga is opening its fourth location in Franklin, Indiana, in mid-October. Along with its locations in Zionsville, Speedway and Danville, the Franklin studio will open with a wonderful view of the Johnson County Courthouse and ample parking for students and guests.
As Peace Through Yoga’s mission statement is: “We meet you where you are, physically, spiritually, and geographically,” owner Mindy Epstein continues to expand access to yoga in Indiana with this new location. This studio will include additional spiritual tools, such as a labyrinth for walking meditation.
Peace Through Yoga Studios offer a variety of programs including special classes for each skill level including for advanced practitioners of the ashtanga school of yoga, gentle yoga, yoga therapy, vinyasa flow, power yoga, Kundalini, and 200- and 500-hour yoga teacher trainings. In addition, there are regularly planned kids’ classes, workshops, retreats and international travel.
The Franklin studio will be located at 229 S. Main St., Franklin, Indiana. Other studios are in Zionsville at 575 South Main St., in Eagle Creek Park at 6040 DeLong Rd., and in Speedway at 1032 Main St. To enter pet photos for Peace Through Pets, email photos to [email protected] Visit PeaceThroughYoga.com.
