Leukemia & Lymphoma Society: Subaru Warming Our Hearts
by Holly Drew
On July 15, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Indiana Chapter and Tom Wood Subaru, had the pleasure of delivering 80 blankets and 30 arts and craft kits to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital as part of the Subaru Loves To Care program. We loaded our carts and wagons filled with crafts kits and blankets, then proceeded into the hospital, meeting Chelsea who is a part of the Peyton Manning Children’s staff. We set up a display in the lobby where we took a few pictures, and then stored blankets and the kits for later distribution to patients.
Thanks to Shannon at Tom Wood Subaru and her dedication to the patients. These comforting gifts were accompanied by personalized messages of hope written by the customers and staff of Tom Wood Subaru. This incredible act of generosity by Tom Wood Subaru was warmly received by the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital staff that were thrilled to distribute these comforting gifts to their patients.
Tom Wood Subaru and The LLS Chapter had the privilege of delivering a blanket and a few craft kits to a young boy at the hospital that was there for treatment. He was accompanied by his twin sisters and dad. They were ecstatic to receive the kits and thankful to Subaru for their generosity. LLS is proud to partner with Subaru to spread hope, love and warmth to those fighting cancer, across the country and right here in the Indianapolis community.
